Youth festival – Event Rules & Judgement Criteria
General Rules
- Every participant will be getting a unique registration number, which will be used to announce their identity to the judges. Name of the participant/ teacher(gurus)/ choreographer should not be announced and may lead to disqualification.
- For each event, participants should adhere to the specified time limit. Exceeding the time limit will lead to disqualification.
- Participants will receive visual and/or audible warning signals before the time limit and must stop their performance when the time limit bell rings for elocution and storytelling.
- Only the participant will be allowed on stage – any assistance needed by the participants for set up/ clean up will be provided by the organizing team.
- All events will be solo events to be performed by one individual, with the exception of Group Dance.
- Any materials brought to the stage must be cleared and removed from the stage on completion of their performance and the event premises before 6 PM.
- When taking photographs or videos of the events, please ensure that you do not block the judges.
- Participants and their families will be responsible for any properties/costumes/instruments etc. used for the performance. EMA is not responsible for any loss of property.

Cinematic/Fusion/Western Dance
Event Rules
- Participants are not allowed to make any announcements.
- The audio track must be shared by May 4th
- EMA is not responsible for any loss of stage properties.
Judgement Criteria
- Choreography – (40 Points).
- Steps, Transitions, Originality, Movement Techniques,
Fluidity, Music Quality, Interpretation Of Music, Finesse – (30 Points) - Expression, Grace, Energy And Completeness Of The Steps, Costume And Prop Usage (20 Points).
- Overall Presentation (10 Points)
Time Limit
- 5 minutes
Group Dance (Min 3 Participants)
Event Rules
- A minimum of 3 are needed for this competition.
- The audio track must be shared by May 4th.
- If a group consists of participants from different age groups, the team will compete in the age group of the oldest participant.
- Each participant should sign up separately for the event.Â
Judgement Criteria

- Only non-film songs are allowed; performing a film song will lead to disqualification.
- Accompanying Instruments/ karaoke are not allowed.
- The song language must be Malayalam.

Recitation Malayalam
